Life's far from being a being a fairy tale.
Silent tears you've wept all alone,
Doubts and fears, in your heart have grown.
With efforts futile, and constant despair,
The ones you've loved have been unfair.

You've had enough, you've paid your dues,
Now time must change and paint new hues.
Won't steal your pain or fight your wars,
Can't turn back time to heal your scars.
I am no wizard, I know no magic trick,
We'll rebuild our world together: brick-by-brick.

I can't promise you a 'happily ever after',
Can't guarantee you eternal laughter.
Yet here I stand by you, to pledge and vow,
To be with you, for you, as I am now.
